THE CORN FED GIRLS

Visit The Band's Website

The Corn Fed Girls are a close knit group of friends who share a passion for acoustic music. Their sound has been described as “raindrops on rooftops and sideburns on kittens”. Their ties span decades and they have common bonds of family and musical influence. Kalamazoo, Michigan is called home-base, though they have many places to hang their collective hat. Darcy Wilkin sings and plays rhythm guitar while Sarah Fuerst keeps time on the upright bass and adds wonderful harmonies. Ira Cohen’s voice and banjo style blend perfectly with Phil Barry’s innovative lead guitar work and vocals. Rounding out the group are John Campos with his intimate and beautiful mandolin playing and Mike Fuerst with his violiddle; part fiddle style, part classical violin as well as a few lead vocals of his own. Their debut album cornstar is now available at shows, online and at select stores.
